案例简介：Brief Explanation The film tells the story of country music’s most historic event: The Bristol Sessions. Through dramatic reenactments, we revisit the 12 days in 1927 when musicians descended upon the Tennessee-Virginia border city of Bristol to record the songs that would go on to be known as the “Big Bang” of country music. Then we follow some of today’s top artists, such as Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Ashley Monroe, Keb Mo and others as they make history again by reinventing the recordings alongside Grammy-winning Producer Carl Jackson. Entry Summary The state of Tennessee wanted to be seen as the premier global destination for music tourism. It is home to the birth of rock and roll, the blues, and one of the most important events in music history: The Bristol Sessions. The 1927 recordings gave birth to country music and helped shape the entire music industry by inspiring rock and folk and inventing the current royalty system that allows artists to get paid. The sessions were so important, Tennessee recently opened an entire museum in their honor. But most Americans have never even heard of The Bristol Sessions. And because we wanted tourists to visit the state for the museum and the current music scene, we had to show that Tennessee not only invented country music, but is also reinventing it on a daily basis. Advertising Format Other The whole theme of this project is licensed and adapted music. It’s about a historic recording that created modern music and we gave the state of Tennessee credit for it. We took the original Bristol Sessions recordings and reinvented them using current artists and released it as an album. We then created a film that tells the story of both — featuring the 1927 recordings and the newly adapted music.
