    案例简介:Strategy The strategy was to take reading to the next level – but without spoiling what is great about reading, which is the social aspect of sitting together and enjoying those precious family moments. Synopsis Selling books in the digital age has become harder and harder. The Swiss NordSüd Verlag, known for its popular children’s books, was trying to find a way to make reading attractive for consumers again. Execution The launch of the app was synchronised with the launch of a new children’s book. Via newsletter, in-store ads and social-media ads, the target group was teased with the Soundbook app. The app itself was given away for free in order to guarantee fast distribution. Outcome The Soundbook app boosted book sales. The first book applying Soundbook went directly to number 1 and was sold out within six weeks in Switzerland (14.000 copies sold). The second edition also went straight to number 1 within the child and youth book segment (12.000 copies sold). The book reached No. 3 in the overall annual ranking and is the only children book appearing in the annual Top 10. 92% of those who have downloaded the app use it while reading aloud. The Soundbook App itself became No. 1 in the App Stores (child and youth segment). It has reached a 5 star consumer feedback and countless positive reviews. Soundbook itself will now be applied for a vast series of children’s books published by NordSüd Verlag.
