Today, almost 100 years after the letters were written, only 13% of engineers in the U.S. are women. When the letters were rediscovered shortly before International Women in Engineering Day, Boeing decided to make a statement. When read through the voices of real women engineers at Boeing, the words written 100 years ago ring with a poignancy that proves how far we’ve come, and how far we still have to go.
