This impressive and deceptively simple spot for Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo traces the evolution of fashion in a single shot. In the director's cut shown above, a journey through the ages sees a woman shed layers of clothing over and over, in one take, with each outfit becoming more and more modern. Climbing from her carriage, she runs across a lush landscape, through a maze before finding herself looking out over a chateau in the distance. The film, which was shot in a day, was directed by Marco Prestini through Strangelove, with post work by Carbon Los Angeles.
