    案例简介:Execution Our solution was to stream sign language interpretations of real time tv programs through Periscope, this way the hearing impaired could connect with the app channel to enjoy the show by putting the cellphone next to the televisión recreating the screen interpretation square they need. Campaign Description As Periscope is the new social platform for video streaming, we decided to take advantage of it by streaming sign language interpretations of real time tv shows so the hearing impaired could enjoy them through their smart phone as they watched the show in their homes. Synopsis In Costa Rica 19% of the disabilities are hearing impaired related, and no tv channel, local or international, has sign language service.Close caption is not an option because, for deaf people, sign language is their mother language.Our objective is to have more tv programs with the sign language service. Strategy Costa Rica, a 4 million population country, has 70.000 hearing impaired people, from which 93% have smartphones because it is a very useful device for their communication, through text messages and apps. There are laws by United Nations ( law #8661 ) and Local Laws ( #7600 ) that support and demand the use of Sign Language in all tv programs, but nobody does it.Our strategy was to take advantage of the cellphone penetration in the hearing impaired community to solve this problem. Outcome In an universe of 70.000 hearing impaired persons in Costa Rica we reach a 63,5 % of the audience with a frequency of 6, developing 378 GRPS and Rating Average of 9%. With this simple idea that doesn't interfere with TV networks and the general audience, who opposes to have a frame in their screen for the interpreter, we achieved to fulfil the rights of the hearing impaired to have access to TV programs and movies. Relevancy This work made the brand visible in a segment where it had been forgotten and made a stand for an inclusive society. The public interacted immediately because we were directly attacking a big necesity of the hearing impaired population in Costa Rica, allowing them to follow their favourite shows in their native language which is sign language, something that no one has solve before.
