In Dutch the word “Bank” means both financial institution and couch, so the promotion was a marriage of the 2 meanings to benefit both parties. Context The results were outstanding. For new accounts the index rate rose to 109, as compared to the target index of 100, and the index rate for students that transferred from another bank was 134 against the target of 100. According to students ABN Ambro became the No. 1 Bank that offered real solutions and provided good customer service. The couch proved a great give-away and the creative strategy and execution of the multi-media campaign appealed to all students in a perfect manner.
