Synopsis The USA is currently living dark times, in which hate is embraced and encouraged, even from the White House. If the government is not promoting peace and tolerance, then the gap must be filled by someone. Who better than US veterans who have risked their own lives for a country they believe in, and who better to influence a population that doesn't want to believe in a massive media that tells them that hate is not the solution. Outcome After one week of being launched, VetsFightHate had earned more than 100 million PR impressions, with an estimated ad value of 2 million dollars.All major media has covered the campaign, even beyond US borders, and many celebrities are joining in.Thousands of tweets of support are being sent everyday by common people.The objective is to impact society in a positive way, balancing the scales in a USA that is currently encouraging hate towards immigrants. CampaignDescription The USA is currently living dark times, in which hate is embraced and encouraged, from the top of the highest circles.To fight the good fight for tolerance, we invited veterans to join in. These are men and women that have risked their lives for a country they believe in, and so, are the only group with the moral authority to spread a message of inclusion to other US citizens. Strategy We identified people with a large group of followers that were spreading hateful tweets towards immigrants, and we replied to them with personalized videos featuring USA Veterans with a message of peace and unity.The reply is not only aimed at specific haters, but to all their followers, with the hope of shifting in a positive way how people feel about immigrants.People are also encouraged to join the fight against hate by using #VetsFightHate
