Nationwide and VCCP have released a string of festive films celebrating a diverse range of voices and stories from people across the country as they share their thoughts and feelings about Christmas. Part of the building society's Voices Nationwide campaign, launched in September 2016, which celebrates personal stories through the medium of spoken word, 12 Voices of Christmas features a dozen different voices from all over the UK covering various ages, ethnicities and life experiences. A mixture of poetry (directed by Jon Wicks & Anstice Murray) and observed conversations (directed by Greta Wynn Davies), and serious and comical tones, the films range from a man reflecting on his relationship with his step-dad, and how Christmas allowed him to say the things he’s never been able to, to a light-hearted debate between friends over whether We Wish You a Merry Christmas is a Christmas carol, or not.Check out all the films below. A Christmas BirthdayToo Many ChristmasesFirst ChristmasSilent NightFaking It At ChristmasGran Gets It WrongChristmas TreesChristmas in AugustThe Queen’s SpeechCarol SingersHomeless at Christmas
