案例简介：Photo by @celestesloman / Portrait of nonbinary dancer, choreographer, and artist Hisyam. Hisyam is from Kuwait, where those who identify as LGBTQ are regularly prosecuted by the government and face stigmatization among the broader population. In spring I collaborated with movement director Elena Vazintaris and producer Mella Re to create a portrait series of professional dancers emerging from the pandemic. They lost their ability to perform both with other artists and for an audience. For this project, we wanted to give dancers a stage in nature, the space to be creative and feel freed from the constraints that the pandemic has imposed upon the performing arts.
