案例简介：Photo by @michaelchristopherbrown / Last month marked the 10-year anniversary of the Libyan Revolution, which became the First Libyan Civil War, a 2011 armed conflict fought between forces loyal to Colonel Muammar Qaddafi, then the dictator of Libya, and foreign-supported Libyan militias seeking to oust his government. The conflict was ignited by protests in Benghazi beginning on February 15, 2011, which led to clashes with security forces that fired on the crowd. The protests escalated into a rebellion that spread across the country, eventually toppling the Qaddafi regime. The conflict did not end, however, as over the past 10 years there has been a power struggle between the myriad entities involved in the First Civil War, which eventually led directly to the Second Libyan Civil War in 2014, an ongoing conflict fought between a number of different armed groups. I spent a total of seven months in Libya in 2011, photographing events throughout the revolution and civil war that culminated in the book Libyan Sugar.
