The National Center of Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Chicago-based creative agency The Times have unveiled a new 30-second PSA to gain awareness and encourage participation in the fight to recover missing children in the USA.In an effort to increase shares, website impressions and donations, the PSA features isolated children roaming parts of a town alone at night, ending with the emotional tagline “imagine your world without the moons and the stars,” before ultimately encouraging audiences to help find missing childrenThe PSA was filmed in Gary, Indiana, a former booming manufacturing hub that has largely become desolate in recent times. Gary is also home to a high-profile missing persons case that remains unsolved. Instead of a direct call-to-action, The Times set out to create a PSA that evokes emotion and inspires a shared sense of commitment to NCMEC’s mission to protect children among those who view the PSA.
