案例简介：The frozen surface of Saturn's moon Enceladus 🥶 Enceladus' bright white coating of ice may look similar to where you live this time of year. It may be similar to Earth in other ways — though only about 310 miles (500 km) across, it is thought to have a very active world of liquid salty water, simple organic materials, and hydrothermal vents in a vast ocean beneath its crust. So active, in fact, that a plume of icy material continuously spews from the “tiger stripes” (fractures in the crust) on its South Pole hundreds of miles into space, even contributing to forming one of Saturn’s outer, icy rings.This image was taken in 2015 on a flyby from our now-completed #Cassini mission, from which scientists are still analyzing data today.
