案例简介：Inauguration of 𝑙𝑎 Galerie 𝑑𝑢 19M Dakar – creation, exhibition, transmission: 𝑙𝑒19M plays multiple roles. Founded by CHANEL in 2021 and located in Paris/Aubervilliers, France, this venue works to preserve and share the savoir faire of fashion and interior design. A temple of craft excellence, 𝑙𝑒19M brings together the eleven Maisons d’art, an embroidery school, the Maison ERES, and 𝑙𝑎 Galerie 𝑑𝑢 19M under one roof.Following the CHANEL 2022/23 Métiers d’art show in Dakar, in December 2022, 𝑙𝑒19M’s first international programme is now open in the same city. Thanks to the support of the Institut Fondamental d’Afrique Noire (IFAN - Musée Théodore Monod d’Art Africain) 𝑙𝑎 Galerie 𝑑𝑢 19M Dakar is currently held at the Musée Théodore Monod d’Art Africain until Friday, March 31st, 2023.Free and open to all, the off-site gallery celebrates the richness and diversity of embroidery and weaving crafts. It hopes to bring artisanal skills to a broad audience, reasserting the value of craftmanship and spark interest in this vocation to help keep these traditions alive. Its programme consists of a collective artistic exhibition, a series of talks, events, and participative workshops, and was conceived by an editorial committee composed of Senegalese creatives and experts from the local artistic scene: graphic designer Audrey d’Erneville, cultural programmer Riad Fakhri, curator Olivia Marsaud, curator El Hadji Malick Ndiaye, designer and filmmaker Selly Raby Kane, designer Bibi Seck and architect Mamy Tall.Macky Sall, president of the Republic of Senegal as well as Bruno Pavlovsky, president of CHANEL SAS and of 𝑙𝑒19M, were present at the inauguration of the exhibition on January 19th, 2023.#CHANELMétiersdArt @le19M @LaGalerieDu19MDakar @EcoleKourtrajme @LadjLy
